The move and new house in point form.

• Driving a van is harder than it looks
• Driving a van around London for hours and hours is Very Headache Inducing
• Move was eventually completed successfully. £45 for hiring a van for 24 hours was worth it, esp when you divide that by three people. (But add on money for petrol.)
• Next time, someone else is driving though!
• Landlords suck. So do Foxtons.
• Landlord specifically told Foxtons not to do inventory or cleaning of the house, despite these being requirements of the contract
• Letting agent Kerry Sahi is completely useless
• Much yelling at Foxtons, and tomorrow a professional cleaning Co is coming around to remove all the junk from the house. See more info on junk
• The phone line doesn't work. BT are coming around tomorrow to fix it. Well, they say they're coming around, but we'll see...
• Central heating w/thermostat, gas hob and hot water, big lounge, nice area, nice location, nice rooms, server room, etc. = nice house. yay, finally.
• No net access, but I have been wiring ethernet around the place properly, and apparently Alex has sorted out some distant wireless node for us last night, until phone+dsl is sorted.
• Didn't make it out to psygate+antiworld on saturday night, due to being completely worn out from move, and i just dissolved into an alcoholic stupor fairly rapidly.

The trick to driving a van around london for hours and hours on end, is to bottle up the frustration, then when you're done, grab a copy of Grand Theft Auto on the playstation and let rip. One of the most cathartic things on the planet.

A know a property lawyer. He said that every single Estate Agent, in the whole world ever, breaks the law and is dodgy. He's never found a single one that does things by the book. I'm nervous about moving myself...

Congrats on getting moved - know *entirely* what you mean about van-driving. One of the things BT do actually appear to be quite good at is sending engineers out when they say they will, so hopefully the phone line will be in working order on time...
