New anti-terrorism laws in Australia

Probably already blogged elsewhere by now, but: Australia's new anti-terrorism laws are passed. At least there is what they've called a sunset clause - a ten year lifetime on the laws, and a review after five.

When he lined up for preselection, he was asked about his opinion on sunset legislation - and told the meeting that no matter what the Nationals thought, he supported daylight saving."
