I never made a proper update about Cambridge last weekend.
In brief:
Headed up to Cambridge, and went to
razornet &
vyvyan's BBQ/party.
Drunk G&Ts in the sun, hid from the random bursts of rain, and eventually we got the bbq started.
I probably looked a right mess for the rest of the weekend, having now covered myself in coal dust and my hair in white ash.
Walked back to
mobbsy's place, crashed out, then went to meet
feanelwa &
daneel_olivaw on Sunday.
I'd been warned that Cambridge buses tended to be difficult, but it also turned out that several didn't even run on Sundays, including the one I wanted. Whoops.
libellum joined us, and we punted on the Cam for a while. I took a few photos inbetween the bursts of rain, during which time we attempted to wedge ourselves under the nearest bridge..
The punters were getting cold, and we headed back, and wandered off to meet
medieval_bunny and have remedial tea and coffee. Meanwhile the weather went mad, rapidly alternating between heavy hailstones, and bright warm sun.
Ate at Dojo, I collected my forgotten sunglasses, and then trained home.

It was nice to meet you all. I wish I hadn't been quite so sniffly and run-down while I was up there; I'm sure I left a great first impression! Sniffly, sleep-depped, sketchy, and limping slightly thanks to something going wrong with those boots :/
Had a great time anyway.
