On Saturday, I went to the Kelvedon Hatch former top secret nuclear bunker, (or they repeatedly referred to it, the TOP SECRET NUCLEAR BUNKER) as part of [livejournal.com profile] squirmelia's birthday celebrations. An interesting (albeit a little tacky in places) location to wander around, and I took some photos too. Most of them of the slightly odd dummies they'd found and situated within it. I guess they thought they were adding something to the experience, but I'm really not sure what.. (Marna - you would have had a field day! :) Have you been?)

Where did they find her??

My monopod turned out to be quite useful - a lot of the shots you see here were not taken with a flash, even though the lighting was very dim. I must try and remember to use it more often.

By the way, the point-and-shoot Fuji F20 does seem to live up to its reputation as being a good pub camera. (It also lives up to its reputation of consistently over-exposing just about everything. Set it to -.6 of a stop in exposure compensation, kids.)

eg. This turned out reasonably well:
Wha..?
