Phone for sale
Dec. 6th, 2006 07:25 pmI've finally given in, and just ordered a new mobile phone. (HTC TyTN)
I highly doubt that anyone will be interested in my old one.. but just in case, I'll mention it here.
It's a HTC Magician, which is branded in the UK as various things, including Orange SPV M500, O2 XDA Mini.
It has the latest firmware on it, which is a big improvement from the default one Orange put on there originally. It also means the phone is unlocked to any network.
The phone is pretty good as a PDA - you can run Mozilla, Nethack, ScummVM, UFO:Enemy Unknown, TomTom6, and so forth. Tt has a touchscreen, 64Mb of ram, and an approx-200 MHz 32bit CPU with 320x240 screen. It charges from USB, and has a standard USB port.
There is, however, a catch. The earpiece speaker doesn't work properly. So this means that to make phone calls, you need to either use the phone in hands-free speaker-mode (which uses the primary speaker) or use a bluetooth or wired handsfree kit. I will, however, supply one of each.
If anyone is interested, make me an offer?
