PCI, supports 5.1 channels (ie. front stereo, rear stereo, center, sub), 100dB noise floor, has optical in and out, firewire, line in, mic in, and normal analog outputs. Supports EAX 1 to 4, plus AdvancedHD in games. ASIO low-latency drivers for use with music production/performance. Big step-up from built-in sound! Great Linux support too (unlike the replacement X-Fi.)
