Mystery of the Crime Report solved!
Aug. 25th, 2005 05:20 pmI rung the police today, and asked them about the "Victim of motor vehicle crime" letter they'd sent me.
Do you remember how I was complaining about some pikey kids trying to steal my helmet last saturday? (And quite possibly they were the ones who took the tax disc). It was reported to the police by a security guard at the time. The police have it all on CCTV, and "the offenders are known to them."
Apparently they ran off the first time the alarm went off, but came back when no-one came running out.. They then proceeded to mess with the bike more, but an unnamed security guard had noticed the first time, and when the alarm went off again, he came out and shooed them off. Yay! Faith in humanity is slightly restored :)
So, there's a tiny chance that if the kids are rounded up on any more major crime, then they'll add these offences somewhere in the small print. Well, probably not.
