Royal Mail does it again

If something was posted to me on Friday morning via Royal Mail's Special Delivery (next day) service, then it should have arrived on Saturday, right? Failing that, one would expect it to arrive by now on Monday. (1pm being the latest they deliver.)

It's still not here. Chalk yet another lost package up to RM I guess..

Hunter S. Thompson, R.I.P.

Catching up on LJ and news today, I'm sad to hear that Hunter S. Thompson has commited suicide.

While his recent works have portrayed his dispair at the direction the USA, and the world, has been taking, I still had the impression that he was not the sort of guy to give up and end it all like that. His message always seemed to be to never give up, and he seemed to manage to win against the odds.
