I finally have a proper DVD rip with English subs of Ghost in the Shell : Innocence, (full-quality, AC3 audio, etc.)
I know a few other people are interested, so I wondered if people would be up for a viewing night at my place sometime? On offer are comfy sofas and surround sound, and of course a hugely long awaited movie.

I'd love to wait until the movie is released in the UK, but seeing as it's probably 6-12 months away, I don't think I'll manage to last that long. I'll go and see it in the cinema when it comes out eventually, there's no doubt about that, but i'm afraid i'm too impatient to wait, esp when discussion boards and newsgroups are already lighting up with other people talking about it after seeing it (in Japan or America) :(

(Damn the MPAA!)

I went to see the Sky Ear project last night.. It was quite cool. hundred and hundreds of small helium balloons in a gigantic array, which floated up into the sky above the royal observatory in Greenwich. Each balloon had a multicoloured light attached to it, reacting to electromagnetic fields, RF. Floating in the sky in exactly the way a psychedelic ultra-elephant doesn't, it pulsed and swirled in response to invisible signals travelling through the array.

Verrrrry cool.

Then I went home, felt a bit crap, went to bed early, and felt *really* crap in the morning. Still feeling crap. Might take tomorrow off work, because I shouldn't have bothered coming in today. Urgh. Hope it goes away as quickly as it came.
