.. i thought it was about time to replace that four years old one ..

but this spur of the moment digicam one ain't that great either :/

[Edit: That reminds me.. I really need to get a haircut soon, too. I'm also wondering if I can do something with my hair that's more interesting than it is now.
Dreads keep occuring to me, but I don't think they'd suit me.. Hmm.
Any suggestions?

AAARGHHHG you look like one of my Exs - too blonde, too blonde.

[identity profile] wintrmute.livejournal.com 2004-07-23 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not blonde!

eep

Yeah, it's really not that great a pic..

Does anyone want to take a couple of decent ones with my slr sometime?

[identity profile] minimatic.livejournal.com 2004-07-23 07:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Photoshop your hair a bit darker and it'll be OK.

I'll take a photo but I'm no good.

Better, but you still look remarkably blonde, considering you're not.

You look frighteningly like [livejournal.com profile] robinbloke there. (His photo gallery is broken, otherwise I'd link to a photo with him looking like that.)

Seconded.

I didn't think dreads would suit me either until I quit brushing my hair as of late. Now I'm not so sure.
But mostly I still think my face isn't 'sculpted' enough.
Hell, I can't even seem to get away without any make-up goo.

[identity profile] nicky-j.livejournal.com 2004-07-24 10:44 am (UTC)(link)
ah but you so can! you are always completely and utterly stunning, with or without makeup :-)

[identity profile] lusciousa.livejournal.com 2004-07-24 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
You're never seen me without make-up
:p

Any suggestions?

shave it all off :)

[identity profile] binarydistort-n.livejournal.com 2004-07-24 03:15 pm (UTC)(link)
wooow, that would be a shock and a half!

I think dreads could work, if it was not quite as long and they were really thin ones.

[identity profile] wintrmute.livejournal.com 2004-07-24 04:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it's the really thin sort of dreads that I like. I see them on other people and tend to think it looks really hot.

But I'm generally looking at people who would probably be quite attractive regardless of their hairstyle when I think that (maybe?) so I'm not sure if it is statistically valid..

But yeah.. it's the sort i'd get, if i got some.

It's a pity it's a one-way process, otherwise I'd do it just to see.

[identity profile] feanelwa.livejournal.com 2004-07-24 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Put it in lots of braids like I did at Glastonbury. It looks the same from a distance.

[identity profile] lusciousa.livejournal.com 2004-07-24 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I was thinking of getting braids, but it's an expensive investment - esp. if i don't like it
:/

Was thinking of doing a trial run, without goo or anything, just to see, but then I'd have to convinve someone to waste an entire day helping me do them

[identity profile] feanelwa.livejournal.com 2004-07-24 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooh, I'd do that. I like messing about with people's hair.

Sweeeeet
*rubs hands together*
heh heh

[identity profile] binarydistort-n.livejournal.com 2004-07-25 06:42 am (UTC)(link)
ahhh, yes.

well there is always the photoshop option to see what it would look like on you.

[identity profile] funkabubble.livejournal.com 2004-07-26 10:56 am (UTC)(link)
Braids would be good? Proper african braids with beading at the end, and perhaps not the whole head, just a few random ones?

And I have a friend who brushed his dreads out, took him three months and his hair is probably as long as yours...

Alternatively some dark red/purple stripes down it might look really funky - colour rather than a style change?

re: braids

[identity profile] wintrmute.livejournal.com 2004-07-26 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I like that idea.. I'll see if i can give it a shot sometime

[identity profile] lusciousa.livejournal.com 2004-07-26 01:50 pm (UTC)(link)
As per [livejournal.com profile] funkabubble's comment, I would be willing to help you dye if you wanted to do a colour change - but you'd definitely need to chip-chop first (as I've said before, also something I'd help with - I'm getting the impression you don't trust me? :p ); You'd need 3 boxes of dye at the length it's at now...

Your brothers' hair looks quite funky short actually. Could take the risk and add in purple! Could photoshop that!
