Glastonbury plans

Less than 60 days remaining until Glastonbury. I'm booking my leave now.
Would taking off Thursday 23rd, Friday, and Monday 28th fit with your Glasto plans?

Planning to go to work on the Tuesday = madness, surely?

Going down Thursday and back Monday. It *might* be worth taking the Tuesday off as well, though. For extra lying in the bath de-ick-ing. And extra *sleep*, which is generally in short supply at Glasto.

True.. but due to recently-starting-new-job i have very few points to spend on holidays at the moment. Instead I'll *plan* on coming to work (and being too vague to do anything useful) on the Tuesday, but if i have to call a sickie, I will. Totally agree that it'd be nicer to have the day off though.

Hmm. Maybe I should.. Umm.

You cannot call in sick the day back after Glasto! That's worse than bank holidays, that is.

That'll be my plan, though I guess an extra day off mightn't go amiss - I've never actually taken the Tuesday off as well, though. And last year I wound up having to go in on Monday afternoon, due to the lack of consideration of the Government when arranging debates!

I'm taking off wednesday to wednesday

I'd really quite like to take off Wednesday thru to Tuesday, and get down there early enough to get a nice pitch in the hippy fields, but I just don't have the holidays required. I suspect I could wangle some days in advance of my quota, or else take unpaid leave, but I don't think it's a good idea when I've been here less than two weeks so far! :)

Are you heading down on the Wednesday?

I could be tempted to leave work early on Wednesday and head down that evening, in order to secure a good spot and avoid the Thursday rush. Hmm.

Pitching a tent in the dark = Very Very Bad Plan.
Another day without a BATH - ewww!
I don't think that we'll be camping in the hippy fields. But the 'Where to Camp' discussions are ongoing, and will *still* happening on the train, no doubt.

What you should do is talk to the people you're working for and say 'Look, this is what I'd like to do ideally, but it's not essential that I get the extra days off. But can I have them off, please?'

We will be arriving there early on wednesday and setting up a campsite. You could give us a tent to set up for you in our site if you like.

If I had a ticket... :( Grr, sulk. (Know anyone that's got a spare ticket?!)

Yes

Yeah, I need to sort this time off thing, too. Was originally planning on taking Thurs thru Tuesday, inclusive, off. Dunno tho, as I've never been and stuff.
BTW - you got a tent sorted for us?
