Whaling and eastern promises

This really pisses me off: Japan embarks on largest whaling programme.

In other news - I saw Eastern Promises, Cronenberg's latest film. I liked it; mostly subtle, well played plot, and nice atmosphere. Plus, it's all shot in London: Hackney, Bow, Greenwich and Clerkenwell according to IMDB, but I'm sure I saw Borough high street bits as well.

Not too much else to report on life really; might drive down to a beach in a bit though.

I cycled to the swimming pools in Brunswick and did a bunch of laps then cycled back.
I am totally exhausted now, and have drunk my body-weight in lemon iced tea.

Oddly, the forecast for today was "thunderstorms", although actually it was just sunny and hot.
Tomorrow is forecast as 37 and is going to be HOT. Methinks I shall take shorts and sandals to work tomorrow, to change into.. (I'm not going to wear them on the motorbike!)

What else did I do today? Hmm.. Bought some nicer sandals. A pedestal fan. Misc bits and pieces for the kitchen. Surround-sound PC speakers.
