Finally some good news..

So the other day an agent called me up and said, oh, you know that house you were interested in? Well we're doing an inspection in 90 minutes.. be there if you want to inspect it.
I can't believe they can get away with that attitude, but anyway, I jumped in a taxi and made it there in time.
The place was acceptable, albeit a little expensive for what it was compared to other places like it. It's a two bedroom place, so Ryan and I put an offer in the same day.. and a couple of days later they said we could have it! I suspect that because it's not such good value, less people are applying - or maybe they figure it's already expensive so don't need to go around getting people to bid the price up.

Anyway, the point is, tomorrow we should be signing a contract, and hopefully I can move in there in a week from now. (Have to wait for existing occupants to move out. Hmph! :)

It's in Fitzroy North, near the corner of Nicholson Street and Brunswick Street but off a side-street. It's not my ideal area, but it's decent, and very close to town.
