Last week I went to see a theatrical adaptation of Kafka's Metamorphosis, at the Hammersmith Lyric, with [livejournal.com profile] mouseboks. I'm not quite sure what to make of some of the acting, but the play was interesting. Music was by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis, and suitably done. (We originally thought they were involved in the script as well, but apparently not.)
The set was quite novel - a second level of the set was setup so that you were looking down from the ceiling of that room, thus requiring a lot of climbing and acrobatics from the cast member who spent most of his time in there. (Do you see what I mean?)

In other news: I'm not having a good time with electronic equipment lately. Or other people. In fact, I seem to be sucking at interacting with just about everything. Clearly it's time to renounce humanity, electricity, and move into a log hut in a rainforest somewhere.
(If anyone happens to have a PCI-Express compatible PC and wouldn't mind me turning up with a top-end nVidia card to see if it works in yours, I'd appreciate it? Otherwise it's probably getting RMA-ed on Monday. Seems to be DOA, but I can't figure out whether it is the new videocard or the new motherboard that is at fault, due to not having any spare PCI-E gear to swap around.)
