Booking plane flights should not be this exhausting.

However, Carrie & I have now booked flights: London to Oporto and back (for Boom) and to Berlin and back (for Voov). It's annoying that we needed to return to London in order to fly to Berlin, but the direct flights were in the order of 400-800 pounds - vs 35-50 each way from London! Crazy..

But first up - the Glade festival. I don't suppose anyone could give me a lift from London on Thursday? Unfortunately, I will be working until the afternoon, so earliest I can leave is about 4pm..

(I'm tempted to ride the bike down there - it's only 60 miles - but I'm worried about parking if it gets muddy)

To send money from a UK bank account, you appear to have several methods, called:
* CHAPS (UK only, same day)
* TIPANET (Western Europe+USA, <5 days)
* Euro CHAPS (Anywhere that has the Euro, 2-3 days)
* SWIFT (Most of civilised world, 5-7 days)

I find it amusing that the slowest of all of them is called "SWIFT".

I'm currently experimenting with xetrade.com who offer currency exchange and transfer services. Their website sucks a little bit, though.
(But not as badly as Fidelity's Account Management page, which frankly scares me.)
