Aaaaaaaargh.... You have no idea how frustrated I am with this bike in winter.
that's right.. It didn't start - again. Turns over and over and just doesn't fire, exactly like every other time I've had that "frozen carbies" problem.
OK, so I know the temperature drops below zero over night, but it's been a couple of degrees over zero most of the day, so I kinda hoped that I wouldn't need to do the "pouring warm water from a watering can for ten minutes" trick, yet again.
I didn't have the heart to try, and just gave up this time.
I'll make a concerted effort tomorrow if I can be bothered.
I'm rather fed, as the main motivation for me buying a fairly new, expensive, bike, was so I didn't have to deal with this sort of uncertainty. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
(OK, so the bike has been perfectly fine aside from this issue.. and to be fair, the bike isn't really designed as an all-seasons bike - it's an all-purpose bike. Good for commuting, fun to joyride, quick and nimble, and capable of moderate intercity touring. But master of none.)
Even more annoyingly, this means I now haven't managed to buy a new supply of coffee beans from the man on Delancey street, NW1. We have enough left at work for ONE WHOLE DAY, after which DOOM ENSUES! You have been warned.
(Unless he is open Sundays, which I vaguely remember he isn't. I shall try anyway.)
I have, however, gone shopping to Sainsburys and there is at least some food in my fridge again.
Suggestions for tension relief on the back of a postcard to the usual address, please.
