Today has not been a good start to the working week.
I came into work today having not had a shower, nor slept.
Despite what you might think, I actually went to bed at a very sensible time last night. I hadn't slept in too long yesterday, had been marching around town during the day, and had been to the pub in the evening - so I thought I should be able to get a relatively early night, and be up in time for work today.
I hate my mind.
With the knowledge that I needed to wake up several hours earlier than usual, my mind refused to let me sleep, no matter how tired I became throughout the night.
By the time morning came around, I was too fucked off to actually get out of bed when my alarm went off, but once I dragged myself out, I received a lovely Cold Water Shower Surprise! as the gas meter had run out of credit sometime earlier that morning - and Tom had taken the gas prepay card with him to work to get more credit, but without successfully activating the emergency credit (which requires the card).
Turned up late for work looking very disheveled and grumpy. Luckily it seems like hardly anyone else is in at work today either, so I've taken a shower here, and I'll see if I can find an empty meeting room to try and catch some sleep in later, before the phone interview with Google... 'cos that's gonna go really well with me in this state of mind.
Grr.
