Tax rebate

Woo! Doing that IRS stuff was worthwhile.. I just received a four hundred pound rebate for the 2002 tax year!
(Although the tax people appear to have ignored the change of address note I put in there, as it went to my 2002 address :/ )

Empty house

Hmm. I have the house to myself this weekend. It's very quiet. It'd be the perfect time to have a little gathering or impromptu party, except I've been too busy to plan that far ahead lately.

Spent today with my mother, before she flies back to Australia tomorrow. Chatted about grandpa, relatives, and so on. We wandered into town, and I helped her select and buy what I think is quite a nifty little point-and-shoot digital camera*. Spending other people's money on toys is great ;)
Wandered around Hyde Park a bit, meandered back home and saw her off. Have ordered pizza and am now prevaricating about what to do tonight.
