Rode to and from work today. Got into work in about 20 minutes, back again in slightly less, despite taking a longer route in an attempt to avoid traffic. Will need to work on my route; what was fastest for a motorcycle is not the most pleasant for a bicycle.
Also noted that the roads that felt terrible through motorcycle suspension now feel even worse! Heh. To be expected really, and I was warned..
I'm happy with the time it took - it's faster than the bus, faster than I was expecting, and not tooo much longer than going by motorbike. I actually feel a lot more vulnerable on the bicycle though - I'm not covered with armor! This will take some getting used to.
And now, as predicted, it's going to rain for the rest of the week. Bother.
Had another one of those days at work where nothing I do seems to go right, although by the end of the day I was finally managing to get some stuff back under control. Most problems have been traced back to subtle changes in subsiduary modules' APIs, which can be a minor danger when working with opensource :(
