There is a shop on Old Street which has a logo consisting of a laurel wreath surrounding a Roman-styled bronze helmet. The name of the store is proudly written below it in bold sans-serif letters - CESAR - which is obviously meant to be Caesar, unless there's some sort of joke here I'm not getting.

I can't say it annoys me. I don't feel that strongly about it. However it vaguely irritates me, in the same way as a minor itch that you can't scratch because your hands are full, and you know will go away soon if you just forget about it.

Another thing that annoys me is the small Indian restaurant, further down the same road. They had a sign outside it for a long time which declared that their lunch deal was still only £4.95!. In January this year they sticky-taped a piece of paper over the price, raising it to 5.95. Except it's still declared as being that price for a long time, even though it is blatantly obvious that they recently raised the price and couldn't even be bothered having a new A2 sign made up. This irritates me as well.

This log entry was brought to you by B for Bored, the number 47, and the wonderful g-cpan.pl, while I watch it automatically create three bazillion Gentoo ebuilds for me. Gentoo is my friend. FreeBSD hates me, but the sysadmins insist that having an O/S that runs like a dog and has synchronous filesystems is better than having a system that has highly-optomised I/O schedulers and journaled filesystems and actually fucking works.
Grr.
