Floating in a sea of anonymous bodies in a darkened room
Your location and time swirl around you
As you dance, sober.

I appear to have been out dancing on a friday night for the second time running.. it feels good, and it's been a while since this was once regular.
Favourite DJ set was Optical's, a lot of nice old-school jungle tracks and some interesting mixes. Not what I expected from him, but good nevertheless.

I wish the fücking MCs would shut up though.

Been searching for a new pair of 10-hole Docs today.

Best price I have found so far, for genuine, new, boots, is £59.95.
I guess that's not too bad, but I'm disappointed that the "cheap" stalls around Camden that only sell factory rejects didn't have anything cheaper! I was hoping to get away with some change from 40 quid - i just want the boots for motorcycling, which tends to get them scratched and scuffed and burnt very quickly. Ho hum :(

OpenSwan

I should be an official OpenSwan tester at the rate I'm going..

Thanks to the VPN project, I'm filing more and more bugs against OpenSwan, KLIPS and 26sec. :(

The broken NAT-Traversal stuff in Pluto has been fixed and is in the latest releases, but I've discovered two different bugs that exist when IP compression is turned on, which are still outstanding.

On the upside, I'm getting to know some of the main developers, and I now know a lot about IPsec internals on Linux! I'm sad that there's such a split between the 26sec and KLIPS development.. They both run on either 2.4 or 2.6 kernels, but both seem to hit and fix bugs seperately - why couldn't they have just agreed on one and all concentrated their efforts?

Ho hum..

For the maintime, I suggest making sure you're using openswan 2.1.5, and setting compress=no in the ipsec.conf options; everything "just works" then, but if you enable it, wierd things happen :/

*looks at clock*
Umm, was I meant to be going out tonight?
