insurance - just for the record
Aug. 12th, 2004 01:40 pmJust for the record, my insurance certificate arrived today. Yay. (It was only meant to be next-day-delivery arriving last Saturday, FFS!)
However, and this makes me want to cry, they managed to get not only the year of the bike's manufacture wrong, so it doesn't match the MOT and V5 form, but they also put the expiry date for the policy a year early - ie. NOW!
Bloody hell.
Luckily the post office was either mildly incompetent, or just didn't care, and happily issued me a 12 month tax disc.
Hoo-fucking-rah! I'm legal on the roads.
Oddly, the tax discs are only issued with fixed beginning-of-month start dates, so it looks kinda like my road-legal-ness is now backdated to the beginning of the month, before I even bought it. Heh. No worries though.
