May. 10th, 2004 04:00 pmHave been trying to get GCC 3.4.0 built as a cross-compiler for ARM processors.. (Guess why..)
I've got as far as getting the assembler/linker/etc parts of GNU binutils done right, and the basic C compiler, but the stdc++ library is causing headaches. I might give up and move onto the c++ compiler. The Symbian SDK probably comes with a stdc++ library anyway, one would hope.
I've found some reverse engineered tools to generate the .sis packages via perl scripts. The Symbian SDK comes in a Windows InstallShield package, which is annoying, but I hear there's a unix util somewhere to crack it open.
In other news, the bar/canteen in the basement has been given to a subcontracted company to run, and they are now charging for coffee, juice, etc! Noo...
I'm having a whip-round to buy our own espresso machine.
