(no subject)

I kinda feel like someone pulled a trapdoor out from under me emotionally. But that's not the point of this post.
The point is that there's nothing worse than having a really deep need to listen to something down, finding a copy of The Bends at work, and then discovering it is corrupted and skips continually. *sob*

In other news, my previous landlord finally coughed up a refund cheque for my deposit, last friday. I banked it today, so we'll see if it actually clears now..

Friday (catchup)

Last friday I arrived at work, discovered I was the only one out of a team of four who was in that day, and we had a deadline to get stuff done before Monday. Was already stressed due to external factors from the previous night, but managed to get everyone's work done by late that night with a bit of help from numerous mugs of espresso. (Four shots of espresso with a little bit of milk and some sugar, per mug)

Aden and Michelle came around eventually that night, and we stayed up late chatting; Carrie and Annie arrived eventually, too. People should have nights in more often.. It's much more relaxed (and cheaper) than the pub, and no-one has to call Time or catch night busses.

Weekend (catchup)

The troubles of thursday and friday were forgotten by Saturday arvo.. Carrie and I headed to Squid's place, and had a very nice afternoon/evening there with everyone. The soup had me pretty worn out by midnight, but people were either heading to bed or to slimes, so along to Slimes we went, although i sneaked in a quick nap beforehand.
I hadn't been to Slimelight for about two months, and despite being exhausted and running low on IQ points, I had a really good time there. Although, I couldn't seem to find a balance of music I liked. Top floor was too samey for me, middle floor was too much poor ebm and cliches, and the trad floor was, well, trad.

Apologies to anyone who tried to talk to me after about 5:30-6:00 am.. I was pretty much just sleepwalking by then. ;)

Spent Sunday in bed recovering.
