Have been feeling under the weather this whole week. I think I peaked (well, troughed) last night, though, so hopefully it'll mend from now on in.
I've been feeling all icky and sick; kind of like a hangover, with stuffed brain, dizziness, cotton-wool mouth, and painful liver or kidneys. (I can never tell which is hurting) However, I haven't really gone out at all this week! I've sat at home drinking lots of water and juice, and getting lots of sleep. Hmmph. Have been quite grumpy as a result.
Wang with Squarepusher, last saturday, was very nice though. Katy, Dan and Keiran turned up too late (i warned them!) and couldn't get in as the venue had filled up. So sorry guys :( Hope you had a good time at slimelight though. (Sounds like Keiran did at least ;)
Dorkbot was also good..
I spent last saturday daytime wandering around Regents Park in the sunlight, since i figured sunlight was a rare commodity and i may as well make the most of it. Took a few photos while i was at it, which will either turn out really well, or horribly. We Shall See.
Have spent most of today either in the pub having an extremely expensive lunch for our head of the department who has left, or else arguing with housemates over acceptable behaviour during the week.
Annie and I think that the general rule during the week should be that we are considerate towards each other, and don't wake sleeping people by making huge noises late at night, etc. Alex thinks that this is unreasonable, because no-one in London in their mid-twenties should ever be tired before 1 or 2am on a weeknight.
Hands up everyone here who thinks it is okay to make unreasonably loud noise in the evening/night when you know people are sleeping, on a weeknight? I don't mean noises like walking or chatting, i mean loud intrusive noises. Heavy thumps, screams, shouting, slamming, that sort of thing. Am I unreasonable in thinking these are not neccessary things to do during weeknights?
[Edit: We seem to be coming to an understanding, eventually. I don't know if this is because of lots of constructive debate, or if we're just less cranky by now.]
