Misc update

dryfterSo the weekend had some pretty big ups and downs, but I seem to have survived, and even tuesday hasn't been bad. I hate to admit it, but I can't help but suspect that the (albeit brief) presence of the sun is helping a lot. Mood-altering photons anyone?
(Now watch as I fall apart once even these last rays of sunlight vanish into the black hole of winter, and I live up to my nickname)
Today Half-life 2 was released, as was Vampire:Bloodlines. Oh dear.. I haven't even finished Doom 3 or Thief 3 yet. I suspect they're going to fall by the wayside now, even before including the colossal timesink that is eve online.
The new X800 is performing well; I'm able to run BF:V on the high detail level, with FSAA enabled, and still maintain a good framerate. Doom 3 also runs quite nicely.
I quite enjoy playing games; it's a pity it's fundamentally a bit anti-social and basically a waste of time.
*shrug*
In other news, Maypole is being well and truly beaten into shape, and I'm also discovering some neat tricks with Class::DBI.
